Product Description

Rhodium COD is an organometallic compound in which rhodium is coordinated with 1,5-cyclooctadiene (COD) as a stabilizing ligand. It is widely used as a precursor catalyst in homogeneous catalysis due to its high reactivity, excellent solubility in organic solvents, and ease of ligand substitution.

The COD ligand stabilizes rhodium in a low oxidation state (commonly Rh(I)), while remaining labile enough to generate highly active catalytic species during reactions. Rhodium COD complexes are especially valued in fine chemical, pharmaceutical, and specialty chemical synthesis where precise control and high selectivity are required.
